Numerical Simulation of Cavitation Flow in a Low Specific-Speed Centrifugal Pump with Different Diameters of Balance Holes

چکیده

In order to study the influence of a balance hole’s diameter on cavitation performance low specific-speed centrifugal pumps, pump with specific speed 0.301 was selected as research object. The pump’s performance, distribution vapor in impeller, and axial force impeller were studied change diameters holes. results show that increase holes, number σ3% became small, pressure mechanical seal cavity dropped gradually, flow velocity holes reduced. As occurred not only affected absolute value but also direction force.
